I’ve always been a fan of squeeze…. It takes me right back to those summers in the early 90s for some reason! When summers seemed to last forever there were no clouds in the sky (yea I did live in this country). ‘This Summer’ by squeeze is the epitome of a summer anthem in my opinion...
This summer there won’t be a cloud in the sky…. (fingers crossed)
The band got together this week and did a couple of acoustic numbers for us…. Check it out.
Supporting Squeeze will be The Lightning Seeds. Talk about taking me right back… it was the summer of 92 Ain’t No Doubt by Jimmy Nail was number 1 and Scotland were in the Euro Championships, yes miracles do happen on both of these accounts, and their album JOLLIFICATION was on repeat. Synonymous with football summers for some reason!!!
Remember the clocks go forward this weekend (Sunday at 1am) and British Summer Time begins…. BBQ ready?! Pass the umbrella will you.
Squeeze tickets go on sale this Friday @ 9am. Jimmy Nail is not currently on tour. Shame.
