It's the most wonderful time of the year.................

Christmas is coming and the gig calendar is getting fat - and so are we with all the xmas goodies and mulled wine knocking about the place.  And what better way to compliment these Christmas treats than with some festive gigs. Tomorrow night kicks off the winter gigs of dreams with Xfm's Winter Wonderland with the likes of The Wombats and Everything Everything in Manchester and Manic Street Preachers in London.

In between now and the big day, there's Soulwaxmas, The Pogues, Saint Etienne and Only Men Aloud (got to slip one in for the folks) to add even more seasonal sparkle to an already especially festive month.  Added to that is a whole host of musical crackers during the next two weeks, including Kings of Leon, JLS, Scissor Sisters, The Courteeners, You Me At Six and Madness to name but a few.  Excited? Oh yes....

But, if you're only going to go to one thing this December (and your knocking about London town or there abouts) then go check out Soulwaxmas at the O2 Academy in Brixton.  With their first two dates sold-out, the guys added a third date to cope with the sheer demand and you can't blame them. Set to repeat the success of last year's gigs, the Belgian DJs will perform Soulwax and 2manydjs sets as well as welcoming special guests along too.  If you're still not convinced, have a butchers at this video from a recent gig in Holland;

And I might as well leave you with a Christmas favourite while you mull over (get it??!) which gig to go an see this festive season.....
