V Festival line-up announced

So, this week we saw the announcement of this year’s V Festival line-up – and what a line-up it is! In my opinion there’s something for everyone – whether it be going wild to the likes of Nero, blasting out classics from The Stone Roses, The Happy Mondays or Human League, or just dancing like your dad with Madness...it has it all.

In 2009, Oasis famously split after The Weston Park leg of V. Now, back with his acclaimed solo material, Noel Gallagher is set to return to V along with his High Flying Birds. So too are Snow Patrol, who stepped in for Oasis at Hyland Park three years ago. If anyone experienced or saw footage of their set, then I’m sure I won’t need to say how excited I was to see them on the poster.

While the line-up has reunions and returns billed, it also has some new faces, from both UK and afar. Most notably Nicky Minaj. If there’s anyone on the line-up that will rival The Killers’ glitz and glam, then my money is on Nicky. Also, flying the flag from this side of the pond are the fantastic Rizzle Kicks, who are sure to have us eating out of their hands with songs like ‘Mama Do The Hump’ and ‘Down With The Trumpets’.

Who are your personal highlights from the line-up? See you down the front.
