Rough Copy play in their own backyard Croydon at the end of this month after releasing their début single, so we caught up with the boys..
What are you up to at this very
moment?
Funnily enough we are currently en-route to Newark for a
school visit to Magnus Church Of England Academy, Fighting through hefty
traffic.
You’re playing a hometown show
later this month what can the audience expect?
It feels so great to come back to our hometown again and
play in front of our supporters, family and friends. They can expect passion,
energy as always, original material in terms of tracks, great fashion and of
course amazing support acts. But and overall great night.
What is your favourite song to
perform live?
Of Course #StreetLove & Another original called
#WeCanGo, The audience will be In for a treat at the concert as we may perform
this.
When you’re not
performing what do you do to keep yourself busy when you’re on tour / on the
road?
We Love Banter, laughing and just enjoying our time in
whatever we are doing, we spend a lot of our time in our tour bus so a lot of
headphones and music getting us through the journeys and times .
Where has been
your favourite gig?
Wow there has been so many but I think the ultimate was when
we got to perform with Gary Barlow at his charity event with the like of JLS,
Nicole Sherzinger and many more. It was so surreal.
Which song do
you wish you had written?
So many classic hits and current hits wow, let's throw the
course and say adeles chasing pavement as it spent weeks in the charts and
changed the face of modern music, I'm sure It was that song lol.
What’s the best
gig you’ve ever played?
Charity Performance With Gary Barlow and friends whilst we
was still on the X.Factor show.
Which other artists are you
listening to at the moment?
John legend, Sam smith, Jason derulo, Ella Henderson,
1direction usher, trey songz, brandy and so much more.
Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Uk based artist at the moment the likes of Craig David, Sola
Ama, Adele, Emeli Sande, Labrinth, Gabrielle, Cheryl Cole, 5Sos, 1D
Plans for the rest of the year?
Ultimately we are concentrating on getting our single
#StreetLove the highest chart position it can get, continuous music making and
gig playing, and don't be surprised if you see us in your city as we are trying
to get the movement and the message that real RNB music is coming back.
