SCOTT BRADLEE HAS A NEW ALBUM – “Postmodern Jukebox – The Essentials”

SCOTT BRADLEE HAS A NEW ALBUM – “Postmodern

Jukebox – The Essentials”

Scott Bradlee also has a tour start this February through to march 2017, details further down the blog! In the meantime, check out these videos by Scott Bradlee :
Poker Face - 1946 Big Band Style Lady Gaga Cover ft. Kelley Jakle
No Surprises - Vintage 1930s Jazz Radiohead Cover ft. ChloeFeoranzo
Don't Stop Me Now - Tina Turner Soul Style Queen Cover ft.Melinda Doolittle

Scott Bradlee has returned to the music scene with an ensemble that reimagines contemporary pop, rock and R&B hits in the style of various yesteryears, from swing to doo-wop, ragtime to Motown – or, as Bradlee himself puts it, “pop music in a time machine.”
The Essentials, out now via Concord Records and Postmodern Jukebox Records, collects 18 favourites from Postmodern Jukebox’s weekly postings. Bradlee wants to make music that incorporates not only incredible vocals, but also melodies that flow, and helping to bring everyone together in a room as a collective listening, and loving the music they are listening too.
Postmodern Jukebox has recorded literally hundreds of songs, but this release compiles the best of them, the tunes that Bradlee himself calls “most essential to the PMJ universe.” The new album includes covers and new, jazz and modern day styles upon great current hits.

Songs covered includes Maps (Maroon 5), Thrift Shop (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis) and also Halo (Beyonce). This therefore allows this new album to entice a widened audience, reaching out to the younger generations who can now enjoy a re work of their favourite hits, which Scott Bradlee has been able to master to perfection.
Postmodern Jukebox is certainly a rebuke to the contention that “they don’t make ’em like they used to.” The Essentials is an engaging and vivacious album that bridges generations with a unique spin of its own. To echo Bradlee’s own invitation, “Dust off the turntable, fix yourself a stiff drink, and get comfy. Welcome to the world of Postmodern Jukebox.”
To add to this exciting release of the excellent collection of songs on the album, Scott is also taking this album on tour in the UK in February / March of 2017! The show is guaranteed to display a lovely array of his new album tracks, whilst also leaving you with a warm feeling inside when you leave the venue after becoming immersed in the ore and groove of a Scott Bradley show!
